Jacob's 4th birthday

 Jacob had a pretty low key birthday this year. He did however, enjoy many phone calls and birthday cards and gifts in the mail.  We can't believe four years has already passed since his birth.  He is such a smart, funny and loving little boy.

 Raphael had a hard time accepting that it wasn't also his birthday.

 Pattern blocks were one of his favorite gifts.

Jacob wanted to share his cake this year. We had cake to celebrate his birthday, Seamus' birth and Aunt Maria's engagement. What a month!

Mr. 2!

Raphael turned two on the 9th!! Where has the time gone? I remember his birth like it was yesterday...oh and all that dark hair!

What a cutie.

 Raphael didn't want to get up the day of his birthday (although it was almost 8:30).  Jacob, however, was excited to get him up and show him his presents.

Overall we had a low key day, but Raphael seemed to enjoy it all. We love this little man to pieces and can't imagine our lives without him.

Jacob turned three on the 21st! Wow does time fly! A few days before the big day he hit above his lip on a desk. He ended up getting Dermabond (kind of like super glue) instead of stitches.  He'll have a small scar.

                                                        

A Happy Birthday waffle!

 We celebrated by hosting an open-house party for his friends. (about 15 in all).  It was a little crazy, but a lot of fun!

 Daddy came home and made Jacob his favorite dinner, homemade pizza! Thanks Dad!

 The next day, at school, Jacob had a Birthday/Christmas party.  Above they are singing "The itsy bitsy snowman," too cute!

He wore his birthday crown all day at school and even slept with it on! Happy birthday to our wonderful Jacob. We can't wait to see how much you'll grow and learn in the next year.

p.s. He weighs 30 lbs and is 36 inches tall. The doctor predicted he's going to be 5'8 when he grows up. At the last visit it was 5'10. I asked the doctor if he's shrinking. We'll see how it all pans out!

Happy birthday hon!

Jay turned 28 yesterday! We stayed home to celebrate and enjoyed some quality family time and good eats. We had pizza for dinner and I made a Texas sheet cake for dessert.

one, TWO!

Jacob turned two on December 21st! I can't believe that two years have already come and gone. Jacob is a true joy! He's full of non-stop energy, wit, tickles and laughter. We celebrated his birthday with a basketball themed lunch at our house. He decided that day that he didn't want to share any of his toys, but it ended up being a fun and crazy party!Jacob, Chase and Haven playing pin the basketball on the hoop.

Jacob has been talking up a storm lately! He loves playing with Mr. potato head, trucks, trains and basketballs. He is a terrific little eater and enjoys sitting on the counter and "helping" us prepare food. He also has been a wonderful big brother lately. We can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us!!
